Prof. Dr. Walid El Ansari
Prof. Dr. Walid El Ansari currently leads Clinical Research across all surgical specialties at HMC.
Prof. Walid holds a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine & Surgery and a Post Graduate Diploma of Clinical Pediatrics from the University of Alexandria, Egypt. He also holds a Masters of Public Health Medicine from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in the UK, the Diploma of Tropical Medicine & Hygiene from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa. Additionally, he also holds two different PhDs from the United Kingdom in Public Health Medicine and in the Education of Health Professions.
In the UK, Professor Walid El Ansari was Chair of Clinical Public Health Medicine. He has been successful in securing several million USDs worth of research grants. Prof. Walid has also been a PhD examiner in the UK and overseas; and has supervised to successful completion a large number of PhD students.
Prof Walid has over 170 highly cited publications, is an editorial board member of more than ten international PubMed-cited journals, and has a research tool that carries his name, and has discovered and published a phenomenon that also carries his name (Ansari’s Paradox - published in the USA).
